This great laundry hamper was designed in collaboration with Peace Corps volunteers who have been so integral in helping Senegal's rural artisans organize their crafting efforts for local sales and export. In this West African nation, Wolof women create an elegant new style of basket using strips of plastic recycled from prayer mats woven around local cattail stalks. Offering significant storage at a lower cost, this hamper adds color and texture to the home. Cut out handles, a cylindrical shape and a flat lid distinguishes this hamper measuring 14"D x 19"T.
