Indigo Handloom Clothing
Indigo Handloom was formed to showcase the beautiful fabrics produced by centuries-old weaving practices and to help support the weavers themselves who often struggle to make a living wage. With every piece sold, a weaver in rural India is able to help support their family. Indigo Handloom revives the traditional textile arts of handloom weaving while supporting community development in rural India. They are committed to reducing the carbon footprint for the world of textiles. The majority of weavers have been hit hard by the pandemic - especially during India's devastating second wave this spring. They continue to develop new products in an effort to create work for their community of weavers - the majority of whom are women working to support their families. Scarves and clothing are woven with fine cotton, some have silk blend. Medium sizing. Hand wash, air dry, light iron recommended to preserve fabric.
